Jason Ng started training in Ballroom and Latin dance at a very young age and he has won numerous competitions in junior categories. Being the dancing chameleon that he is, Jason has learned, performed and competed in many other partner dance such as Salsa, Bachata, West Coast Swing and Kizomba. He was introduced to Kizomba in 2013 and instantly fell in love. His determination to learn the dance motivated him to attend workshops and take private lessons resulting in quickly advancing his skill and level. With over 10 years of experience teaching various genres of dance, and glowing references from mentors in the local and International Kizomba scene, it came as no surprise when he was handpicked as Senior Kizomba Instructor at the largest salsa school in Canada, Toronto Dance Salsa. Along side his partner Regan UT Kizomba, he has decided to focus his efforts on perfecting his technique and increasing his knowledge about the culture and the dance, so he can share it with everyone.
Regan Baird, aka UT Kizomba, started dancing at the tender age of 8, studying jazz and ballet. Her love for dance continued throughout high school where she choreographed Hip Hop and jazz routines for various student functions. She became interested in social dancing in her early twenties and took Salsa lessons in both Toronto and the USA. Regan discovered her passion for Kizomba three years ago when she saw a video by Kizomba instructors Tony Pirata and Cherazad Benyoucef. Under the instruction of Java Panzo, Mr. Kizomba, she learned the basics and fell deeper in love with the exotic dance from Angola. Following a year of assisting Mr. Kizomba with regular level 1-4 classes, she decided to take her passion to another level and focus on refining her craft with now dance partner Jason Ng. When not dancing, Regan works actively in the Kizomba community promoting her Friday Kizomba Party, Flavour Fridays, hosting the annual Africadançar Kizomba International Championship Canadian Eliminators and educating dancers through workshops she hosts with International Instructors.
